Expanded vinyl edition of the 2019 tape/digital release. This release features two previously unreleased tracks.

Francis Plagne's work straddles songwriting, electronic composition, and improvisation and has appeared on Kye, Penultimate Press, Black Truffle, and Albert's Basement as well as his own Mould Museum imprint.

His first for Horn of Plenty, Rural Objects was recorded to tape at home in Melbourne between 2018-2019. Plagne uses guitar, fretless bass, synths, keyboards, percussion, flute, bottle (plus a guest turn from Joe Talia on drums) to sketch 14 'objects' which glide from the bucolic to the ethereal.

impossible to categorise, as individual as Nico's harmonium era or post-debut Björk, where percussive use of stringed instruments like the dulcimer added to drone-like organ, and a vocal that stretches from soprano hymn-like chorale to harsh wails & screams, moving from infant to animal. Individual, idiosyncratic, often childlike & playful, & utterly compelling in the way it creates its own sonic world, of which one may merely enter & behold. When it comes to Omit i only have the 5xCD compilation on Pica Disk so we are not talking about a major gap in my little record collection but a black hole when it comes to this very fine artist. Omit somehow manages to produce vast journeys into his sonic universe with a minimum of sounds and even if some of his track are 20 minutes long they evolve almost without you noticing it and that is one of the things that makes me like Omit and like him a lot at that.
